La presente investigación describe la realidad de los jóvenes con el diagnóstico de VIH pertenecientes a la fundación EUDES – Hogar Verónica; investigación enmarcada en la adherencia al tratamiento, la calidad de vida y la relación existente entre estas; teniendo en cuenta que una de las demandas dadas por la institución hace referencia al interrogante sobre las causas por las cuales los jóvenes en ocasiones no toman su medicamento, además de no mostrar interés por los controles médicos a los que deben asistir cada mes; es por ello que se planteó observar desde la adherencia al tratamiento cómo dichas prácticas permean la calidad de vida de los jóvenes involucrados en la investigación. Todo lo anterior teniendo en cuenta la importancia de la intervención de Trabajo Social a nivel individual, familiar y grupal de dicha población.

This research describes the reality of young people with VIH diagnosis belonging to the EUDES Foundation - Veronica´s Home. Research framed in treatment adherence and quality of life and the relationship between these; Taking in account that one of the demands given by the institution refers to the question about the reasons why young people sometimes do not take their medication, besides not show interest in the medical checks to which they must attend each month,that is why was proposed to observed from adherence to treatment as such practices permeate the quality life of young people involved in the investigation. All of the above taking into consideration the importance of the intervention of social work at individual level, family and group levels of that population.
