Esta investigación se centra en el concepto de turismo regenerativo. La metodología empleada se basa en un análisis documental exhaustivo de literatura académica, lo que permite identificar las perspectivas y enfoques presentes en la literatura. Los resultados obtenidos revelan que el turismo regenerativo es un enfoque emergente en la industria turística que busca transformar la dinámica convencional del turismo, centrándose en la restauración y revitalización de destinos turísticos. Sin embargo, la falta de consenso en la definición y la diversidad de perspectivas dificultan la comunicación efectiva y la implementación de prácticas coherentes en este campo. Se destaca la relevancia de diferenciar el turismo regenerativo de otras formas de turismo sostenible y plantear la necesidad de un marco conceptual unificado. Además, se identifican áreas de investigación futura, como el impacto del turismo regenerativo en las comunidades locales y en la conservación del entorno natural.

This research focuses on addressing the lack of a unified definition of the concept of regenerative tourism. The methodology used is based on a comprehensive documentary analysis of academic literature, which allows for identifying the perspectives and approaches present in the literature. The results obtained reveal that regenerative tourism is an emerging approach in the tourism industry that seeks to transform the conventional dynamics of tourism by focusing on the restoration and revitalization of tourist destinations. However, the lack of consensus in the definition and the diversity of perspectives make effective communication and the implementation of consistent practices in this field challenging. The relevance of distinguishing regenerative tourism from other forms of sustainable tourism and the need for a unified conceptual framework are emphasized. Furthermore, areas of future research are identified, such as the impact of regenerative tourism on local communities and natural environment conservation.
