El siguiente trabajo pretende establecer la relación entre turismo y artesanías a partir de las repercusiones económicas y sociales que genera la elaboración de artesanías en barro en la vereda de La Chamba en Guamo Tolima, con el fin de conocer las trasformaciones socioeconómicas del lugar, las personas encargadas de enseñar y transmitir el oficio artesanal a través del tiempo, como también del desarrollo turístico que ha tenido este recurso turístico. La metodología aplicada en la presente investigación es cualitativa de tipo exploratoria, para la recolección de información se realizaron entrevistas semiestructuradas e historias de vida aplicadas a la población artesanal y a las entidades públicas responsables del turismo en el Guamo. La implementación de lo anterior sirvió para tener un primer acercamiento de cómo se puede desarrollar la relación entre turismo y artesanías.

The following degree work aims to establish the relation between tourism and handicrafts from the economic and social repercussions generated by the elaboration of clay handicrafts in the village of La Chamba in Guamo Tolima in order to know the socioeconomic transformations of the place, the people in charge of teaching and transmitting the traditional craft through time, and also of the tourist development that that this tourist resource has had. The methodology applied in this research is qualitative of an exploratory type, for the collection of information conducted semi-structured interviews and life stories applied to the artisanal population and public entities responsible for tourism in the Guamo. The implementation of the above served to have a first approach of how the relationship between crafts and tourism can be developed.
