Este documento se encuentra conformado en tres partes, en primera, se dará a explicar qué son las opciones, los tipos de opciones que existen y su aplicación, también que es el índice COLCAP, cómo llegó a considerarse una acción y su composición. En segundo lugar, se realizará un análisis fundamental Top-Down, es decir, de lo general a lo particular, donde se inicia explicando cómo se encuentra la economía colombiana, luego se considera el desempeño del sector, y se finaliza estudiando a las empresas o compañías que integran el índice. Para finalizar, se realiza la aplicación de una opción financiera a la acción ICOLCAP abarcando un periodo de tiempo de un año 2019, hasta enero de 2020 analizando el funcionamiento de las opciones financieras en Colombia.

This document is made up of three parts, first, it will be explained what the options are, the types of options that exist and their application, also that it is the COLCAP index, how an action and its composition came to be considered. Secondly, a fundamental Top-Down analysis will be carried out, that is, from the general to the particular, where it begins by explaining how the Colombian economy is, then the performance of the sector is considered, and it ends by studying the company's or companies that make up the index. Finally, the application of a financial option to the action is carried out. ICOLCAP covers a period of time of the year 2019, until January 2020 and thus understand the operation of the financial options in Colombia.
