La presente investigación se realizó en el municipio de San Juan de Rioseco - Cundinamarca con el propósito de conocer la situación actual del sistema turístico en el municipio, a través de un estudio turístico empleando el manual para el diagnóstico turístico local, guía para planificadores elaborado por Carla Ricaurte Quijano (2009), el cual se basó en el modelo del sistema turístico de Sergio Molina (2000). Se usó un enfoque de estudio mixto, empleando la metodología descriptiva, aplicando instrumentos como lo es la entrevista, encuestas y fichas de inventario turístico, acompañado de la técnica de análisis DOFA con fundamentos de señor Dyson (2004). El trabajo tuvo como resultados la identificación y análisis del sistema turístico, conformado por: la superestructura, los atractivos y recursos turísticos, los equipamientos e instalaciones, la infraestructura, la demanda y por último la comunidad receptora. Este trabajo aporta en la base inicial para una posterior y adecuada planificación del turismo en el municipio de San Juan de Rioseco.

This research was carried out in the municipality of San Juan de Rioseco - Cundinamarca with the purpose of knowing the current situation of the tourism system in the municipality, through a tourism study using the manual for local tourism diagnosis, a guide for planners prepared by Carla Ricaurte Quijano (2009), which was based on the model of the tourism system of Sergio Molina (2000). A mixed study approach was used, employing descriptive methodology, applying instruments such as interviews, surveys and tourist inventory files, accompanied by the SWOT analysis technique based on Mr.Dyson (2004). The results of the work were the identification and analysis of the tourist system, made up of the superstructure, tourist attractions and resources, equipment and facilities, infrastructure, demand and finally the host community. This work provides the initial basis for a subsequent and adequate planning of tourism in the municipality of San Juan de Rioseco.
