Este trabajo examinó la política prohibicionista existente en el país, teniendo en cuenta las causas negativas del narcotráfico en Colombia, por lo que, se argumentó en torno a la necesidad de la legalización de la marihuana en el país, lo que permitiría regular la producción, distribución y tenencia del cannabis y sus derivados, tanto como su uso recreativo, científico y médico, lo que, a su vez, contribuiría al establecimiento del turismo cannábico nacional. Con base en lo anterior, se revisaron los argumentos que llevaron a su legalización en algunos de los países que hoy son líderes en regulación del cannabis recreativo con fines turísticos. Se realizó una encuesta que permitió conocer la percepción de algunas personas con respecto a las influencias y aprobación de proyectos y actividades turísticas fundamentadas en el uso y manejo del cannabis recreativo en Colombia, y se sugirió una definición del concepto turismo cannábico a nivel nacional.

This work examined the prohibitionist policy existing in the country, taking into account the negative causes of drug trafficking in Colombia, therefore, it was argued around the need to legalize marijuana in the country, which would allow to regulate the production, distribution and possession of cannabis and its derivatives, as well as its recreational, scientific and medical use, which, in turn, would contribute to the establishment of national cannabis tourism. Based on the above, the arguments that led to its legalization in some of the countries that are now leaders in the regulation of recreational cannabis for tourism purposes were reviewed. A survey was conducted that will get to know the perception of some people regarding the influences and approval of tourism projects and activities based on the use and management of recreational cannabis in Colombia, and a definition of the concept of cannabis tourism was suggested at the national level.
