La investigación tiene como propósito crear los lineamientos de turismo slow para el municipio de Pijao Quindío sin dejar a un lado el resto de los municipios que los quieran implementar, la metodología aplicada fue una revisión documental con un enfoque cualitativo ya que permite subjetividad, estas investigaciones permite un acercamiento de que es el turismo slow y cómo se origina en el destino rescatando las características de los territorios donde se practica, adicionando que al ser una filosofía nueva es poco conocida y su aplicabilidad en Colombia es escasa por lo tanto lo convierte en tipo descriptivo. Como resultado se obtuvieron las características y actividades del turismo slow por medio de la revisión documental, también obtuvimos como resultado las características que se compone el turismo slow y por medio de los criterios de la red Cittaslow con el fin de complementar los lineamientos que están dirigidos al municipio de Pijao Quindío

The purpose of the research is to create slow tourism guidelines for the municipality of Pijao Quindío without leaving aside the rest of the municipalities that want to implement them, the applied methodology was a documentary review with a qualitative approach since it allows subjectivity, these investigations allows an approach of what slow tourism is and how it originates in the destination, rescuing the characteristics of the territories where it is practiced, adding that being a new philosophy it is little known and its applicability in Colombia is scarce, therefore it makes it a type descriptive. As a result, the characteristics and activities of slow tourism were obtained through the documentary review; we also obtained as a result the characteristics that make up slow tourism and through the criteria of the Cittaslow network in order to complement the guidelines that are directed to the municipality of Pijao Quindío
