Elaboración de un manual técnico para el manejo y transporte de muestras en el diagnóstico de enfermedades huérfanas para la IPS BIOLAB s.a.s.

Abstract

El Laboratorito Clínico BioLab S.A.S. Presta el apoyo logístico en la toma de muestras a nivel nacional, para realizar pruebas diagnósticas especializadas en enfermedades huérfanas solicitadas por los médicos tratantes. Objetivo: Realizar un manual técnico para manejo y transporte de muestras en el diagnóstico de enfermedades huérfanas para la IPS BioLab S.A.S. Método: Es una investigación cualitativa, descriptiva, no experimental de corte transversal. Resultados: El Manual Técnico contiene los parámetros desde la recepción de las ordenes médicas, la ubicación del paciente en el territorio nacional referenciando el laboratorio que procederá a la toma de muestra, una adecuada manipulación de la misma, que permita mantener la integridad de las muestras teniendo en cuenta las normas de bioseguridad por parte de los operarios que embalan, transportan y/o reciben dichas muestras. De igual manera aplicar la normatividad de transporte de las muestras, la logística y el control que permite garantizar la cadena de temperaturas, los tiempos requeridos mínimos o máximos entre la toma de muestra y su procesamiento, los protocolos de cadena de custodia, confidencialidad hasta el momento del reporte de los resultados. Conclusiones: Para obtener una excelente calidad en la atención de salud y la seguridad del paciente el manual técnico permite estandarizar la fase pre analítica, permitiendo garantizar la llegada de muestras optimas a los diferentes tipos de Laboratorios de Referencia en los cuales se realizaran los exámenes especializados y así mismo dar un diagnóstico oportuno, verídico que permitirá orientar al médico en el tratamiento o conducta a seguir con el paciente dando la oportunidad de una mejor calidad de vida a los pacientes diagnosticados con Enfermedades Huérfanas – raras o de Alto Costo en Colombia.

BioLab S.A.S. is a clinical laboratory which helps with the logistical support of taking samples on a national coverage, in order to perform specialized diagnostic tests about rare diseases requested by the treating doctor. Objective: Create and Implement a technical manual for BioLab S.A.S. clinical lab, which completely specifies how to handle and transport the rare diseases samples. Method: It is a non-experimental descriptive qualitative investigation with a cross-sectional perspective. Results: The technical manual contains parameters all over the process, from the reception of the medical orders, localizing the patient always having in mind the appropriate Lab which will proceed to take the sample and the proper procedure to manipulate it, allowing the operators in charge of packing and delivering or receive it to keep the integrity of the samples according to the biosecurity legislation. Similarly, implementing the transport conditions according to law and the logistic to ensure the Cold chain, the minimum and maximum time since the samples is taken to its analysis, the chain of custody respective protocols, and confidentiality until the report of the results. Conclusions: In order to obtain an excellent health service and patient ́s security, the technical manual allows to standardize the pre-analytic face, letting us to guarantee a better handling and receiving of optimal samples to the different laboratories in which they will make the specialized exams, therefore, give a better, timely and true diagnostic, which will lead doctors in the treatment or protocol to follow with the patient, giving them the chance of a better quality of life, even when they have been diagnosed with a rare disease. – rare or high cost in Colombia.
